Free Online Games Site With GameSiteScript
Have you ever wanted to have your own free online games site? I know I sure did. I really enjoy playing all the different online flash games and can waste hours of my down time playing them. To this day, I’m still impressed by the quality of some of those free games.
Several months ago, I got serious about adding a free online game site to my website portfolio. I had been thinking about it for ages and finally decided to go for it. I started looking around eBay and the Sitepoint Marketplace for a site to buy and finally found a reasonably priced site on eBay. I won the auction for my very own game site, only to find out that the site was pirated and basically useless to me from a legal perspective.
Needless to say, I wasn’t pleased but I did get my money back from PayPal after submitting a claim. …but, that’s a different story that I really don’t want to get into right now.
After some more research (which I should have done in the beginning…), I ran into GameSiteScript. GameSiteScript is a PHP-based online game site framework that can be deployed in minutes. Here’s a brief description from their website:

I was immediately impressed with GameSiteScript because it had all the features I was looking for and much more. I particularly liked the fact that the PHP source code was included and the template system could be fully customized.
At first, I was concerned about the duplicate content issues that can come up with sites that use the same framework like Build A Niche Store and Associate-O-Matic, but with access to the source, I could customize the site to avoid the potential Google slap. Problem solved.
I also liked that GameSiteScript has built-in content management, user administration, newsletter system, and even a built-in ad system. After running my free online game site for several months, the ad system has to be one of my favorite features. It’s so easy to change my ads in the admin section of the site.

A game site! You really can do anything these days. I always thought that was a pretty closed industry. Thanks for opening my eyes.
You wouldn’t believe how incredibly easy and quick it was to setup that site. I had the out-of-the-box version running within 5 minutes.
One of the things I really like about the GameSiteScript is that you can buy additional game and video packs cheap. You can get groups of 250 games or videos that come with a SQL script that makes the upload process very simple.
Just upload the games and run the script, and viola, you’re done. I’ve added two additional game packs to my site already, all paid for by the advertising and affiliate revenue that site produces.
I certainly can’t complain.

It is hard to rationalize buying games online when you know that they will result in time suckage…but, if they are free…have at ‘em!

I wondered how people managed to get all those games on their sites. So its matter of paying for it, and surprisingly its not that expensive. I think i am going to make one for my nephews birthday, so he could boost to his friends he has his very own online games site!
I’m sure your nephew would really enjoy having is own free game site.
Something I didn’t mention in this post is the high-score add-on. Having the high-score add-on really keeps people coming back to these sites.
Free game players are fiercely competitive and will vigilantly “protect” their high scores should they be overtaken.

I think they are many online gaming site.This not new to me.
I like to find those sites that give you the code to embed the game in a website. Not because of the embed code; because I know they’re saying it’s OK to put the game on your site. I write my own embed code that complies with xhtml strict standards.
