Pulling The Plug? - Scratch That
I am a very decisive person and once I’ve thought through a decision I rarely reverse myself unless there’s a good reason. One of my favorite quotes is: “Decide quickly and change your mind slowly.” I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said that, but don’t hold me to it.
At the eleventh hour, I’ve decided to save this poor blog’s life and give it a chance to redeem itself. Like I said, I didn’t come to either decision lightly, but after reading all the comments on my death sentence post, I felt like I was quitting on the good people that read my blog.
With that said, here’s what you can expect going forward:
This blog will become my personal blog with no specific focus, except whatever I feel like writing about. I might write about totally random crap or nothing at all. Who knows. Only time will tell.
I hate the current theme, so it’s history. I’ll be changing the look of this blog at some point so don’t be surprised when it happens. No offense the the theme’s author, but the layout of the CSS stylesheet is horrendous and the post formatting really sucks.
I will be writing contest posts here and there because I want to win stuff. What better place than my personal blog?
I will shamelessly promote my side projects and affiliate marketing sites. I’m not going to bombard you with these types of posts every single time, but I’m going to use these posts to improve the search engine ranking for my other sites.
Thanks again for all your support. I’ll do my best to keep you entertained. ![]()
All I can say is Yahoo! Your thoughts and no non-sense attitude helps get me through some long days… So I say bring on the random thoughts… just like Jack Handy!
Thanks Stinger, I appreciate it.
LOL @ Jack Handy.
…and gosh darnit, people like me.
Yay! I’m glad that you’re keeping it around
It gives hope to all of us who have personal blogs. I was thinking of doing the same thing with mine. Just blogging whatever I want, whenever I want.
Yeah. It’s good to be yourself. Same with you, I will just crap and write anything that I feel want to write about. So I support your decision!
Thanks Roberta and Linda!
I wish I could think of some meaningless crap to post just to say I did it.
i like to see a diversified blog with random topics!
Right on, write on about whatever you feel.
I think your on the right track. My favorite blogs are all random thought blogs. I’ll be back to see your progress. Thanks.
Haza! Bring on the Randomness!
Glad to hear your staying around! I think it’s perfectly fine to be random on this blog. Sometimes randomness makes for the most entertaining sites.
Glad you’re back… and all us bloggers understand your pain… just blog about what you want and sell out to the man… we still love you
Thanks everyone!
DeMerchant: LOL! Trust me, I would totally sell out to the man if he were offering to pay me.
I did the same thing with my blog recently. I figured, “if i’m spending this much time doing it, why not make it something I love?” Best of luck, and I sure do hope you continue to keep us entertained.
I don’t get why you are changing this wordpress theme? It looks kind of ok to me.
I actually really enjoy reading your blog. Glad you’re sticking around! And I must say, I absolutely love the title of your blog (the quote about taking your blog outside is CLASSIC!).
I have a random blog as well, and its the blog that I enjoy the most!
More power to you, often a radical shift is what’s needed. Good luck.
This might be an older post but it’s a new one to me. Glad you are keeping with the blog.

Hello, this is great article. I have blog and I thanks to say you thanks. Regards!
interesting info, thanks
I have recently been having crazy experiences with being decisive. Sometimes you just have to push forward and hope for the best. The self-fulfilling prophecy tends to make things happen in your favor.
thanks for sharing this kind of stuff… great
this site cover a great information.
thanks for sharing this kind of content….
I think survival of the fittest and dump the sites that just aren’t working out in relation to the time you’ve spent. Well maybe not dump but just don’t concentrate on it as much. This site does have value and I highly recommend keeping it.
Very interesting

Stumbled your URL…

This is a good blog that does a service to the community. Don’t pull the plug, please. And if you do decide, I’d be willing to takeover.
Hello Donovan (I hope that is your real name)
i like author speak their mind, and not the usual crap that every one is talking about, i liked your idea of writing what matters to you rather then what will hit the digg front page.
I’m glad that you live by that quote but I can honestly say that I am the exact opposite when it comes to making decisions. I have to think it out for a long time before I really decide. But it becomes stressful, so it’s fortunate that you are the way you are. -M
Douglas Coupland coined the phrase “option paralysis”. These days we have TOO MANY choices and so don’t know which one is the best, and so choose none for fear of choosing something inferior. Then we choose desperately at the last minute (partner, job, holiday, furniture)
People who say “act in haste, repent at leisure” lead boring lives.
We learn by doing things. Hesitation can stop us learning.
Your Blog is very good to read. Wish you will continuously write other interesting Blogs in future.
I find niche blogs to be the better resource generally it is also better for ranking as the whole blog is on topic.
The main lesson to take from the internet is to launch early, and refine through user feedback. Same with blog posts - get ideas out there early and see how people react to your thoughts. Don’t hesitate.
Thanks a lot for sharing…………!
Looking forward to your future posts!
nice thought,nice post.
Very interesting post. Will definately bookmark this blog to check back later.
Thanks!
Launch early, reiterate and refine. That’s how successful online businesses evolve.
Nice post. Have added you on RSS to keep myself updated.
Glad you are sticking all around! And I must say this that I absolutely love the title of your blog the quote about taking your blog outside is CLASSIC.
Thanks, I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Also you’re right on about making a decision being able to do that quickly can really make or break someone’s sanity.
Hi, it is a great site, Don’t change anything that is working well.
Randomness is good…
And we will post comments with names like “Eco wash balls” to boost our own sites and everyone will be happy. I really hope there isn’t really a person names wash balls lol… Anyway, good luck with your other web projects :)!

I knew how to change the spark plugs in my other vehicles, but this engine has them set up differently. I’m used to wires being connected from the distributor cap to the plug itself, but on this engine, I still haven’t found the wires or distr cap. I know where the spark plugs themselves are, but there is this cylinder thats about 9 in or so long that you have to unscrew and pull out from on top of the plugs. I have a long enough extension to be able to get them out from the bottom of this hole, but it looks to me as if the inside of this tube is copper and its very smooth. Is it b/c its new and never been worked on, or do i need a special tool to keep from scratching it and losing conductivity.
I have not understood anything )))
