Now that I have had a week or so to think about the rant on my New Bloggers Niche post, I finally decided to start a new blog dedicated to new bloggers.
I would like to introduce you to: NewBlogger.net
NewBlogger.net will be co-authored by myself and Roberta Ferguson. We will do our best to make NewBlogger.net a valuable resource for the next generation of aspiring bloggers.
Andy Coates has created quite a buzz lately with his Viralink idea. The basic idea is that you copy and paste a matrix of 120 stars to your blog and add your own link to one of the unlinked stars. As other bloggers spread the Viralink from your site, the number of backlinks you get increase exponentially.
Roberta Ferguson just posted a list of resources for the new blogger, guest written by your’s truly. This is the first time I have ever been a guest blogger. I have the same feeling right now that I did the first time I saw my name printed in a magazine article. Excellent!
Make sure you check out Roberta’s blog. She already has a great collection of new blogger articles with many more to come. She’s quite funny and her personality really comes out in her posts.
Today marks the fifth day I have been taking Chantix to quit smoking. I am still in the pre-quit phase and only have two more days left to smoke for the rest of my life. I wanted to check-in with a side effect report.
So far, the only side effect I have experienced is drowsiness when drinking alcohol. I’m not talking about drinking a 12-pack, rather, only one or two beers adds 10 pounds to my eyelids. I wasn’t very happy that I was falling asleep at 9PM during the Cavs and Pistons game this weekend. Go Cavs!

You don’t know it yet, but you don’t want dual monitors. You NEED them. According to research by Microsoft, you can increase your productivity by 9 to 50% and make your work day easier. The New York Times reported slightly lower results, but an increase of 20 to 30% is still significant, don’t you think?
