My First Post on Digg.com

Please forgive the forthcoming shameless self promotion.

I’m on cloud nine today because one of my posts from NewBlogger.net got dugg on Digg.com yesterday. The post that got dugg was: Tweak the WordPress Live Plugin to Exclude Your IP Address. It’s not popular or anything, but I thought I would mention it just in case you wanted to digg it too.

It doesn’t take much to make me happy (obviously), but if that post had more than two diggs, I would be ecstatic.

In case you didn’t notice, that was a subtle hint to digg my post.

If you find my post remotely interesting, help a brother out and digg it now!

Pretty please? Don’t make me beg.

This reminds me of the first time I ever saw my name printed in a magazine article. Ah, those were the days…

P.S. I know having a post on Digg.com is no big deal, but it means something to me. Oops, that sounds kinda like begging, doesn’t it?

It’s not like I’m asking for money or anything, c’mon. Call Now!

I know, I know: I’m a dork.

I’d digg it again if I didn’t digg it already! :)

    I know you would, thanks!

I tried, but the folks at Digg are smarter than me.

Well, you’re up to 4 now. Getting popular on Digg is tough. The only times it’s happened for me is when a top Digger submits.

Thanks for the digg and the tip. I’ve since found that StumbleUpon is a better traffic driver than Digg. Just today this blog was submitted (not by me) and I’ve already seen a surge in traffic because of it.

Good luck with your post on Digg! I have tried to get dugg a couple times, its not easy…even great content that is similar to the stuff on the front page won’t make it unless some influential diggers pick it up.
